SAVON DE MARSEILLE (Scent nr 13, SOAP) from all times, the perfume of the "Lavandières", the ladies washing your linen perfect thanks to the huge blocks of Marseille soap, fresh river water and a lot of muscles (and lots of gossip about the village life). In any Provence village you will still find the old "lavoir", the place where they used to gather to practice their profession. This scented candle is an ode to them, and will deliciously spread the scent of clean soap to your home.
Oriana B. Aroma notes: this is the unmistakable smell of French laundry which comes from the aromatic smell of Marseille Soap. This scent reminds us of opening a drawer many months after we've returned from holiday to find a piece of clothing washed and dried in the summer sun and being instantly transported to that bright sunny space. It fills the house with a smell of unrivalled freshness.
Les Choses Simples candles are meticulously hand-poured in Lauris, Provence in small batches. The savonnier (soap maker) faithfully applies a 300 year old recipe for Marseille soap using only vegetable oils and no SLS, parabens or silicons.

100% soy wax with organic cotton wicks poured into an amber glass jar. We have found them to be extremely aromatic and burn well and evenly.
